Prepare for the future
- Working alongside teaching and staff veterinarians at Pine Bush Equine Services & Veterinary Hospital
- Learning about horse anatomy and practicing physical exams and bandaging techniques
- Participating in clinical lab rotations to practice skills like surgical prep, suturing, injection techniques, and diagnostic procedures
- Enjoying a field visit to a horse breeding facility where you’ll learn about breeding and reproductive health
- Working alongside experts at The Reef Institute on important coral reef restoration
- Conducting data collection runs to monitor coral and fish conditions and perform coral tagging
- Time in the land-based nursery to learn about the latest innovations in coral conservation like gene banking
- An excursion to Peanut Island, a natural habitat that promotes the growth of several health coral colonies
By attending Veterinary Academy: Land & Sea Animal Medicine, you can earn up to 40 veterinary and 30 research hours, a required part of every vet school application.
